Satisfaction.

Satisfaction.

I love digital painting.  I can’t exactly put into words why… but I just do.  A lot of people say to me “You made that on a computer?  Surely that must get tiring, wouldn’t you rather make something on paper?”

Nope.

There’s something so satisfying, so visceral about painting digitally that I would always choose it over painting with acrylics or oil (I’m aware of how counter-intuitive that sounds… but I’ve always been a computer fanatic).

To be fair, having said this, I almost always start off all of my ideas on paper.  Sketching them out, drawing them, playing with composition and design before going to a computer and finishing it off, so it’s not an entirely computerised process (just mainly).

Anyway, I thought I’d include some images here of my sketches and some progression shots and maybe a preview from something very special coming up soon :).
